The AU-ABC initiative establishes partnerships between the Air Force and accredited civilian higher education institutions to offer baccalaureate degree opportunities via distance learning. AU-ABC degree programs will be linked to one or more Air Force relevant degree program currently offered by Community College of the Air Force. Proposals are currently being accepted from civilian institutions. The Air Force Virtual Education Center will serve as the gateway to these post-CCAF degree programs with the goal of beginning implementation for student enrollment in June 2007. Development educators and all military and civilian instructors and supervisors are welcome. The class is held April 24, 9 - 10 a.m., at the education center, room 103. -Basic Communications This course, open to military and civilian employees, involves the essentials of basic skills to effectively communicate in the military work environment. This class is held April 18, 8 - 10 a.m. Embry-Riddle Aeronautics Degree A Bachelor's Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle can provide career-enhancing knowledge and understanding. Up to 36 advanced standing credits in the aviation area of concentration may be awarded for work experience and training. Southern Illinois University You may be closer to earning a Bachelor's Degree than you think. The off campus degree program located at Fairchild offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Workforce Education and Development. Benefits of this program include: no associate degree prerequisite, accelerated format, weekend classes, and up to 44 semester hours can be granted for work experience and technical training. To schedule an interview with an advisor, contact Dr. Frank Powers at 244-3356 or 244-3789 Park University - Park students must successfully complete the Writing Competency Test and EN306 before registering for MG401, MG495, HR491 and MK491. The Fairchild Campus Center offers the WCT April 24. All core requirements must be complete in order to enroll in MG495. These prerequisites will not be waived. Students wishing to enroll in other courses for which they do not have the required prerequisites must obtain a prerequisite waiver. Call 244-2020 for information. - Students should sign up for the Writing Competency Test at least two terms prior to taking EN306/CJ441/CJ450. A passing WCT score is a prerequisite to register for EN306/CJ441/CJ450 and also a graduation requirement. The WCT results will not be available until at least three weeks after test date. Failure to comply with this requirement could delay graduation because the requirement will not be waived. Please call the Fairchild Campus Center at 244-2020 to schedule an appointment to take the mandatory WCT. - Effective July 1, Park University will no longer accept standardized testing (DANTES/CLEP, etc.) for CS140, Intro to Computers. Students must either transfer this class in or take it with Park. Scores must be received by the Registrar's Office June 1 for acceptance. Students evaluated prior to July 1 who require CJ451 will now enroll in CJ441 if they are currently employed in a criminal justice field or CJ440 if not. CJ441 will not satisfy the EN306 writing requirement.
