Guard command chief to deploy

FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. --  Chief Master Sergeant Craig A. Weddle, 141st Air Refueling Wing command chief, is preparing for a deployment to Kirkuk, Iraq in early May 2007.

Chief Weddle received notification on April 4 that his request for deployment was approved. He will turn in his command chief star and assume the position of group superintendent for the 506th Air Expeditionary Group.

Chief Weddle is the Regional Marketing Manager for Dex Media in Spokane. His employer has been extremely supportive of his military career.

At his going away party, the entire office wore red, white and blue and served apple pie in his honor.

Weddle explained that "[Dex Media] was extremely supportive" of his military service.

Chief Master Sergeant Tim Flock, 141st Operations Group chief boom operator, will temporally fill the command chief role until Chief Weddle's return in October.
