Bachelors wanted Join the Bachelor Auction at 7 p.m. July 25 at the Greek Orthodox Church (1703 North Washington Street in Spokane, Wash.), where bachelors will be auctioned off and will coordinate dates with the highest bidders for compensation. Keep in mind that the bachelor's expectations will vary. For example, he may be responsible for providing the winning bidder with a date or a service, such as two hours of yard work; or he may be tasked with cooking a delicious dinner. The auction will come as a great benefit to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and will help further its mission to cure blood cancers. Big Brothers, Big Sisters Michael Anderson Elementary School is looking for Big Brothers, Big Sisters, men and women who are free to spend one hour per week during lunch with a child at the school. They would have lunch together and be with them at recess. Consistency is critical for children, as they become very attached to their big brother or sister. The school understands that there are times when a volunteer may be gone out of town or other setbacks and will work around this. Applications are available at the school.
