Air Mobility Command MatchUP concluded on Aug. 31 with more than 49,000 registered participants during the three-month promotional period. The grand prizes this year were $10,000, $7,000 and $5,000 cash winners. The lucky top prize winners were Staff Sgt. Ramona Gochin, McChord Air Force Base, Wash.; Austin Moore, son of Maj. Robert Moore, Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash.; and Airman 1st Class Matthew Park, McGuire Air Force Base, N.J., respectively.

"MatchUP has been extremely successful in helping to relieve some of the stress our Airmen are under on a daily basis," stated Col. Benjamin Trotter, Chief, Services Operations Division for AMC. "At the same time, the program plays a major role in introducing participants to the many benefits of base life, thus improving their overall quality of life," said Colonel Trotter.

This year's MatchUP program awarded more than 12,000 prizes in just 90 days. In addition, several AMC Guard and Reserve units joined in the fun and had guaranteed weekly cash winners. A complete list of MatchUP winners can be viewed at www.amcmatchup.com.

Also included in the program is a 'base race' in which AMC installations with the highest participation totals have a chance to win thousands of dollars toward improving the quality of life at their installation. This year's big winners were Air Force bases Dover, Pope, McGuire and McConnell.

MatchUP is an interactive web-based program, loosely based on the old TV game, "Concentration," designed to help increase awareness and participation in Air Force programs, services and activities. Players receive game pieces for participating in MatchUP designated events. Each game piece is worth an entry into the grand prize drawings and also allows the participant an opportunity to try their luck playing MatchUP for additional entries.
