Michael Anderson Elementary School
Volunteers are needed to come to the school during lunchtime on a regular basis for a 20- to 30- minute block of time. Each volunteer would take four to five students with them to have lunch at a table in the art room. Each group of students would interact with the volunteer, playing board games, which the school provides. The object is to get students to interact in a positive way in a social setting with other students and with adults. The school counselor would also be in the room with her own group of students. Taking turns, listening to others, being a good sport and working together is the goal.
