Retiring after 54 years service to the military
Charles “Tom” Gooch, 92nd Logistic Readiness Squadron heavy equipment mechanic, receives his Outstanding Civilian Career Service Award from Maj. Breck Woodard, 92nd LRS commander. The retirement ceremony was held on April 30 at the Vehicle maintenance building 2045. Mr. Gooch served twenty years in the military including a tour in the Korean and Vietnam War. Mr. Gooch went on to serve 34 years civil service and worked many different positions during his military and civilian time such as aircraft loader and corrosion control. While working at the 92nd LRS his dedication to duty were reflected in many ways. His actions greatly contributed to outstanding and excellent ratings from Logistics Standardization and Evaluation Program and Unit Compliance Inspection. Mr. Gooch said, “Its been fun and I have no regrets, but I think its time to kickback and relax.” Mr. Gooch is moving to Tucson, Ariz., and going to spend his time traveling with his wife Linda.
