eFinance- the new way to do business Published Dec. 18, 2009 FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- Hate having to wait in line? Do you get frustrated trying to find a parking spot? Get busy at your office and don't have the time to turn in a voucher? eFinance has got you covered! eFinance is now here and will be your source for filings all of your claims! Effective Jan. 1, Fairchild will implement eFinance. eFinance offers a secure, paperless process to submit financial documents with automated assistance for the member. This process is accomplished using a "DTS style", "Turbo Tax style" approach to guide the member through a wide range of finance functions by conducting an interactive interview session that explains the exact process needed to complete your respective claim based on information provided by you. eFinance may be accessed via a secure web site application, eFinance, using their common access card and pin at https://efinanceworkspace.wpafb.af.mil or by accessing the portal, selecting the "AF Portal Money-Finance Central" option and scrolling down the page to the hyperlink. Once a user navigates to the eFinance site, the system will use an easy to understand question and answer session to walk the member through the process of travel and or entitlements from start to finish. eFinance can now automate these processes to allow our members to help themselves. Users are able to upload or fax supporting documentation (orders, receipts, etc) as is done in DTS. E-finance , routes the voucher to the reviewer and Approving official if is needed. After approval, the voucher is routed to the financial services office (Fairchild Finance), voucher is quality checked by finance technicians and submission to the Air Force Financial Services Center, or AFFSC for processing. As with other processes in e Finance, the customer receives email status updates as the document package moves through stages of processing. eVoucher, the travel side of eFinance, can be used by our Active Duty members for any order that you can't accomplish using DTS. Both components of eFinance Workspace assist the warfighter, providing tools needed to operate in today's increasingly digital environment. In addition they help to standardize and streamline the processes at the local finance office and provide to the AFFSC with complete and legible documentation.
