Stannard 92nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- The Sesame Street/United States Organizations experience for military families will be performing Aug. 29 at 2 and 5 p.m., at the base theater. The theater will open 30 minutes prior to show time for seating. Tickets are available for free to all military members and their families at the Deel Community center. This free event incorporates Sesame Workshop's award-winning Talk, Listen, Connect initiative. The initiative provides vital resources and emotional support to military families with young children going through challenging transitions. According to the USO, the performance addresses the concerns of today's military families as they deal with the hardships of deployments. The show tackles tough issues, such as multiple deployments and lengthy separations from loved ones with help from Elmo, Grover, Cookie Monster, Rosita and Zoe. The show has toured around the world visiting nine countries and 84 military bases over more than two consecutive years logging more than 45,500 miles to serve more than 135,000 military members and their families. According to the USO, "To date, the tour is the longest-running entertainment tour in USO history and the first-ever traveling USO tour designed specifically for military families. "
