To ensure Fairchild follows established regulations and instructions, the 92nd and 141st Air Refueling Wings are undergoing inspections by officials from Air Mobility Command. A team of more than 160 people visited Fairchild for a compliance inspection as well as a review of the logistics compliance assessment program.

A compliance inspection looks at management processes to make sure they're all in place, whereas LCAP inspectors look at Airmen actually follow those management processes, explained Maj. David Gehrich, 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron commander.

"These kinds of inspections are important because they make certain we're operating the way the Air Force wants," the major said. "We have to standardize how each base operates so when we deploy, regardless of where someone comes from, we'll work together seamlessly."

In addition to reviewing the active duty units on base, inspectors are also ensuring Guardsmen fit into that seamless operation.

"The compliance inspection and LCAP are great opportunities for both wings to show their hard work and dedication that has led to creating a successful KC-135 classic association," said Col. Richard Kelly, 141st ARW commander. "With no blueprint out there for such an arrangement, Team Fairchild has come together to make history while setting the example. We are looking forward to showing off our accomplishments during this inspection."

The CI lasts until Tuesday, when officials will present the base with their findings, citing outstanding performers and offering their suggestions.
