During March, three Air Force members assigned here received nonjudicial punishment for criminal offenses under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Nonjudicial punishment actions, otherwise known as Articles15, are administrative actions used by commanders for both punishment and rehabilitation.

Articles 15:
A senior airman from the 92nd Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 with one specification of wrongfully using marijuana, a violation of Article 112a, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of a reduction to airman first class, suspended reduction to airman, 30 days extra duty with 15 days suspended and a reprimand. Member is pending court-martial.

A staff sergeant from the 92nd Operations Support Squadron received an Article 15 with one specification of driving under the influence of alcohol, a violation of Article 111, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of a reduction to senior airman, suspended forfeitures of $400 pay per-month for two months and a reprimand. Member is pending discharge.

A senior airman from the 92nd Security Forces Squadron received an Article 15 with one specification of driving under the influence of alcohol, a violation of Article 111, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of a reduction to airman first class, suspended reduction to airman, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand.

Involuntary Separations:
An airman basic from the 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron was separated for misconduct: Commission of a serious offense, which included a special court-martial conviction for one specification of conspiracy, a violation of Article 81, UCMJ; one specification of making a false official statement, a violation of Article 107, UCMJ; and one specification of wrongfully endeavoring to influence an adverse action, a violation of Article 134, UCMJ. Additionally, this member received two letters of reprimand for two off base incidents of driving under the influence of alcohol. This Airman submitted a conditional waiver of the right to an administrative discharge board hearing. The separation authority, the 18th Air Force commander, approved the waiver.

A staff sergeant from the 92nd Force Support Squadron was separated for conditions that interfere with military service: Mental disorders. In May 2011, this member's case was heard by an administrative discharge board who recommended the member be discharged, but that he be offered probation and rehabilitation for a period of six months. In August 2011, the 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, as the separation authority, approved the board's recommendation. During the P and R period, the member violated the conditions set forth in the P and R. In turn, this member's approved discharge was executed. The separation authority, the 92nd ARW commander, directed this Airman receive an honorable discharge.

A senior airman from the 66th Training Support Squadron was separated for unsatisfactory performance: Failure to progress in military training required to be qualified for service. This was a prior service Airman (Army) with a conditional enlistment agreement that he failed to fulfill. This Airman unconditionally waived the discharge board hearing. Subsequently, the separation authority, the 92nd ARW commander, directed this Airman receive an honorable discharge.

A staff sergeant from the 92nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron was separated for unsatisfactory performance: Failure to meet minimum fitness standards, by receiving four fitness failures in a 24-month period. This Airman unconditionally waived his right to an administrative discharge board hearing. Subsequently, the separation authority, the 92nd ARW commander, directed this Airman receive an honorable discharge.

An airman first class from the 92nd AMXS was separated for misconduct: Drug abuse, which included one Article 15 action for one specification of wrongful use of marijuana, a violation of Article 112a, UCMJ. The separation authority, 92nd ARW commander, directed this Airman receive an under honorable conditions (general) discharge.

An airman from the 92nd ARW was separated for misconduct: Minor disciplinary infractions, which included two Article 15 actions. The first Article 15 was for one specification of underage consumption of alcohol, a violation of Article 92, UCMJ. The second Article 15 was for two specifications of dereliction of duty, a violation of Article 92, UCMJ; and one specification of failure to go to his appointed place of duty, a violation of Article 86, UCMJ. Additionally, he received two letters of reprimand and three letters of counseling. The separation authority, the 92nd ARW commander, directed this Airman receive an under honorable conditions (general) discharge.
