Regional medical executives tour Fairchild

FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. --  Members of the Spokane Regional Medical Executive Leadership received a tour April 13 here.

The group received an introductory briefing from the 92nd Medical Group commander, Col. Thomas Roshetko, at the base clinic. The colonel explained the importance of Team Fairchild's mission and how the community contributes to successfully complete the commanders' and Air Force's objectives.

Other notable stops along their tour included the 141st Medical Group's Consolidated Storage and Distribution System building, hands-on inside and out of a KC-135 Stratotanker and the 336th Training Group's (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) Urban Evasion Lab and SERE museum.

The tour culminated in a live demonstration of a rescue by SERE students during their jump training.

Tours like this reinforce the importance of a healthy community relations program. It is important for any base to have strong ties with its surrounding communities.
