Girl Scouts donate cookies to Fairchild deployers

FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. --  The Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Idaho donated more than 500 crates of cookies to Fairchild's deployers here May 1.

The cookies will be set out when Fairchild servicemembers leave and return from deployment operations worldwide. More than 10 percent of Fairchild Airmen are deployed throughout the year.

The Girl Scouts say they hope donations like this will strengthen the already close relationship between the base and its surrounding communities.
