Fairchild Airman's body found Published May 8, 2012 92nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- The Spokane County Sheriff's department recovered the body of Airman 1st Class James Lassiter, a student who was assigned to the 336th Training Group, in Long Lake Sunday afternoon. The discovery comes more than a month after Airman Lassiter went missing on the Spokane River March 31, 2012. "We mourn the loss of a valued member of Team Fairchild and extend our deepest condolences to the Airman's family and friends," said Col. Paul Guemmer, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander. "Our continued focus is to help the member's family and friends during this difficult time."
