Maj. Gen. Scott M. Hanson is scheduled to guest speak at Team Fairchild's Air Force Ball in Spokane, Wash., Sept. 22.

Hanson is the Carl A. Spaatz Center for Officer Education commander and Air War College commandant at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.

The general served as the 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander from July 2005 to May 2007 and is a command pilot with more than 3,600 flying hours. He has flown nine different air frames including Fairchild's own KC-135R Stratofortress.

Hanson is no stranger to air refueling, as he qualified on the KC-135 nearly 25 years ago in February 1988.

This year's Air Force Ball will be held at the Red Lion Inn with social hour beginning at 5:30 p.m.
