Years in Service: 4 years What do you do at Fairchild Air Force Base? I train 92nd Air Refueling Wing personnel on Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear procedures. I also manage an inventory of readiness equipment items valued at over $3 million. Favorite aspect of job: I like that in the case of emergency or terrorist attack, I have the skills and ability to save lives. Why did you choose to serve in the military? I joined to serve my country, as well as travel opportunities and to further my education. Family: My wife, Sarah and my 2-month old son, Brage Greatest accomplishment: Air Education & Training Command Airman of the Year in 2010 Goals you want to achieve or meet at Fairchild Air Force Base: Complete my Bachelors degree, earn my CCAF, and make Staff Sgt. Hobbies: Ice Hockey, golf, making model cars and collecting minerals Your best habit: I consider myself so OCD, I actually refer to it as CDO, that way it is in alphabetical order, but all kidding aside, I have an extreme attention to detail, which serves me well in my military career. Yoda Favorite movies: Return of the Jedi and Up Who is your favorite mentor and what did you learn from him/her: Mr. Gary Cobb, he taught me that when the going gets tough the tough get going, he helped me persevere through adversity, as well taught me to love my job and value my career. If you could spend one hour with any person, who would it be and why: I would spend an hour with Marcus Luttrell. He was a Navy SEAL who earned the Navy Cross during a firefight with the Taliban in 2005. Talking to him would give me a sense of pride and am sure would be a great lesson in leadership.
