Anonymous tip line active Published Oct. 11, 2012 By Airman 1st Class Ryan Zeski 92nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- A tip is now active for people to anonymously report criminal activity on Fairchild Air Force Base. By calling the "Blue Crime Tip Line" at (509) 247-1OSI (1674) anyone can leave a message for a member of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations Detachment 322 to investigate. "It's genuinely anonymous," said Special Agent Sheridan Moon, AFOSI Det. 322. "This gives people the freedom to report a crime without being directly involved in the investigation. I'm not concerned with how I get the information, as long as I get it." When using the tip line, it's important they leave as much specific information as possible to include names, locations and dates. This is especially helpful if the caller chooses not to leave their contact information. All messages are checked daily, by an OSI Agent. "We're professional fact finders." said Moon. "We prove and disprove crimes and listen for as many details as possible because it gives us more to follow up on." AFOSI Det. 322 investigates any felony-level crime, even the smallest bit of information is dealt with accordingly, said Special Agent Tracy Jones, AFOSI Det. 322. "It's all about solving the crime and preventing anyone from being victimized," said Jones.
