Operation Spokane Heroes presents annual gift cards to vets Published Dec. 4, 2012 92nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- A representative from the Kalispell Tribe presented Col. Konrad Klausner, the 92nd Mission Support Group commander, and various other U.S. military leaders in the community gifts cards for troops by Operation Spokane Heroes and Northern Quest Casino and Resort as part of their annual contribution to needy military families in the area Nov. 28. In past years gift baskets with food were donated but in recent years it was decided that the gift cards were easier for everyone including the recipients so they could purchase what they needed. The gift cards are valued at $75 each from Wal-Mart. These tokens of appreciation were distributed by unit first sergeants.
