The Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., Honor Guard head up the 34th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade held in downtown Spokane, Wash., brandishing the colors March 16, 2013. The event was organized by The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick non-profit organization and is open for all to get with many of the volunteers coming from Team Fairchild. SPOKANE, Wash. -- The 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, Col. Brian Newberry, served as the Grand Marshall for Spokane's 34th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade March 16.

The parade, organized by The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, a local non-profit organization started in 1979, occurs each year on the Saturday prior to St. Patrick's Day. The event is one occasion open for total community involvement with many of the volunteers coming from Team Fairchild.

Regardless of race, creed or color, everyone comes out in full spirit, clad in green in support of the annual parade.
