Don't sit in front of the TV this summer, come to the Outdoor Recreation Center today and enjoy what they're offering.

Thinking about an adventure and don't know where to start? Outdoor Rec can help.
Various trips and activities this summer include: rafting Spokane River, a horseback dinner ride, canoeing the Little Spokane River, rafting Clark Fork River, a rope challenge course at Eastern Washington University, mountain biking the Hiawatha trail and an intro to rock climbing class.

Interested in scuba, but don't know where to go? This year, Outdoor Rec is also providing scuba lessons.

"Classes will take place at the Aquatics Center on base," said Lisa Nelson, Outdoor Recreation adventure guide. "A scuba certification lasts a lifetime."

Already have a destination in mind, but lacking equipment? Outdoor Rec can fix that. Some of the items available to rent are trailers, boats, camping gear, mountain bikes, basketballs, volleyballs, lawn equipment and other items.

"Clear Lake will also offer equipment for military members," said Nelson.

Also boats, paddle boards, canoes, kayaks, camping grounds, bathroom facilities, snack shack and cabins are available. Additionally, there is an RV park with hook ups available.

All of these exciting activities are offered to anyone with a military identification card.

"The more people we have come in to sign up for these activities, the more we can offer," said Nelson. "It's going to be a lot of fun this summer!"
