The annual Air Force Assistance Fund campaign continues until May 17. "There is still time to donate to the Air Force Assistance Fund," said Capt. Ken Scholz, Chief of Public Affairs, 92d Air Refueling Wing and Installation Project Officer for the 2013 Air Force Assistance Fund campaign. "Whether you're a commander or an A1C, your donation is important because it can make all the difference in the life of another Airman." This year's campaign began March 25, continuing a tradition of raising funds for Airmen and their families in need. Donations can be given by military personnel and civilians alike. The fund assists needy members of the Air Force community with assistance for challenges such as emergencies, education, and finances. Unit representatives have donation paperwork and will process payments via cash, check or payroll deduction for any amount for those who choose to give. Contributions to the AFAF affiliates are tax deductible. "Airmen helping Airmen is what the campaign is all about and it is a great opportunity for everyone to give back," said Scholz.
