The Balfour Beatty Community Center will be the venue of Working Through Anger, a workshop in the Reconnection Workshops series presented by Walmart and run by the American Red Cross in conjunction with the Airman & Family Readiness Center. The workshop will be held Friday, June 28, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

The workshop is geared toward deployed service members and their readjustment to life on the home front. Families are of course a part of that equation.

"We are hearing more and more about Post-Traumatic Stress and other emotions that were previously kept quiet," said Breezy Tottenhoff, AmeriCorps volunteer to the Red Cross with Service to Armed Forces. "Working Through Anger is a workshop geared toward families and service members who are having a difficult time readjusting to life at home. While the topic name can be slightly intimidating, the discussion is based around what the participants want to focus on. If they want to talk about the frustrations of returning home or how to better communicate with each other instead of getting angry and arguing, our instructor is able to help."

Free childcare and refreshments will be available.
