Rank/Name:

Unit of assignment:
92nd Security Forces Squadron

Duty title:
Police Services Program Manager

Hometown and state:
Orland Park, Illinois

What do you do on a daily basis at Fairchild AFB?
The day-to-day is so varied. One day I will teach Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) or engage with community youth about military life. The next I will sift through reports to identify and deter growing crime trends and promote crime prevention to the base populace. I interact with local law enforcement agencies on a daily basis.

What do you enjoy about your job?
When I teach D.A.R.E. I feel like I make a real impact on the children's lives.

Why did you choose to serve in the military?
It has always been a lifelong dream of mine.

Time in military:
Three years as of December 2014.

What is your greatest accomplishment?
Probably, getting my name put into a brick near the drill pad at Lackland Air Force Base for top graduate of Basic Military Training. It may not seem like a big deal but my children's children will be able to visit that brick and I think that is pretty cool.

Goals you want to achieve or meet while at Fairchild AFB?
Make staff sergeant my first time and put in an Officer Training School package before my first enlistment is up.

Hobbies:
Reading, running and chess. I am a total nerd.

Your best habit:
Professionalism.

Who is your favorite mentor and what did you learn from him/her?
Tech. Sgt. Smith from my last base was probably my first real mentor and he really taught me how to roll with life's punches and how important morale is.
