  • 92nd Air Refueling Wing Judge Advocate General
During the month of March, five Fairchild Airmen received nonjudicial punishment under Article 15, Uniform Code of Military Justice, and 11 Airmen were involuntarily separated for misconduct. Commanders used the following as a means of punishment, rehabilitation, and maintaining good order and discipline:

NONJUDICIAL PUNISHMENT (ARTICLES 15) 

92nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

A senior airman received an Article 15 for assault and drunk and disorderly conduct, violations of Articles 128 and 134, UCMJ. The member assaulted a hotel security officer while in a drunk and belligerent state. Punishment consisted of a reduction to the rank of airman, suspension of forfeitures of $867 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

92nd Maintenance Squadron

An airman first class received a vacation of suspended punishment for failure to go, a violation of Article 86, UCMJ. A vacation action imposes a suspended punishment for a previous Article 15. The member showed up late for work on multiple occasions. Punishment consisted of a reduction to the rank of airman.

92nd Operations Support Squadron

A senior airman received an Article 15 for assault and unlawful entry, violations of Articles 128 and 134, UCMJ. After forcing his way into a dorm room, the member proceeded to assault his ex-girlfriend. Punishment consisted of a reduction to the rank of airman, with reduction below airman first class suspended and a reprimand.

92nd Force Support Squadron

An airman received a vacation of suspended punishment for failure to go and dereliction of duty, violations of Articles 86 and 92, UCMJ. A vacation action imposes a suspended punishment for a previous Article 15. The member did not show up to work and then was seen at the gym, while on quarters. Punishment consisted of a reduction to airman basic.

912th Air Refueling Squadron

A technical sergeant received an Article 15 for failure to go and drunk on duty, violations of Articles 86 and 112, UCMJ. The member arrived four hours late to his duty station, and upon arrival was impaired by alcohol. Punishment consisted of a reduction to the rank of staff sergeant and a reprimand.

INVOLUNTARY SEPARATION ACTIONS       

92nd Security Forces Squadron

An airman first class was separated for a number of minor disciplinary infractions. Over the time period from September 2014 to present, this Airman received two letters of counseling, one letter of reprimand and nonjudicial punishment for failing to remain in the local area while not on leave in violation of Article 92, UCMJ, and for assaulting a fellow Airman, in violation of Article 128, UCMJ. Due to the member's misconduct, the 92nd ARW commander directed this member's separation with a General Discharge.  Moreover, as a result of this discharge characterization, all G.I. Bill benefits were forfeited.

An airman first class was separated for unsatisfactory performance: failure to meet minimum fitness standards, for receiving four or more fitness failures in a 24-month period. Throughout this period, the member received rehabilitative measures in the form of formal counseling, unit directed fitness activities and diet or exercise education.  However, these rehabilitative efforts taken by the unit proved unsuccessful. This member was directed by the 92nd ARW commander to separate with an Honorable Discharge without the opportunity for probation and rehabilitation.

92nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

An airman was separated for a series of minor disciplinary infractions. Since April 2013, the member received two letters of counseling, one letter of reprimand, and nonjudicial punishment for assaulting a hotel security officer and for drunk and disorderly conduct, violations of Articles 128 and 134, UCMJ. Due to the member's misconduct, the 92nd ARW commander directed this member's separation with a General Discharge. Further, as a result of this discharge characterization, all G.I. Bill benefits were forfeited.

92nd Aerospace Medicine Squadron

An airman first class was separated for failure to progress in military training required to be qualified for service with the Air Force or for performance of primary duties. Due to this member's inability to achieve a satisfactory score on the end-of-course exam and subsequent removal from upgrade training, the 92nd ARW commander directed this member's separation with an Honorable Discharge without the opportunity for probation and rehabilitation.

92nd Operations Support Squadron

A staff sergeant was separated for failure to complete alcohol abuse treatment, due to inability. Due to the member's propensity to abuse alcohol and unwillingness to cooperate with treatment, the 92nd ARW commander directed this member's separation with an Honorable Discharge without the opportunity for probation and rehabilitation.

92nd Civil Engineer Squadron

A senior airman was separated for committing a serious offense. The member was previously court-martialed and convicted of two specifications of assault consummated by a battery against his ex-spouse and driving under the influence of alcohol, violations of Articles 128 and 111, UCMJ. Because of the member's misconduct, he was punished with a reduction to the rank of airman basic, forfeitures of $785 per month for five months and confinement for 85 days. The member was given a General Discharge and correspondingly forfeited his G.I. Bill benefits.

22nd Training Squadron

An airman first class was separated for a number of minor disciplinary infractions. Over the time period from August 2014 to present, this Airman received three letters of counseling and six letters of reprimand. Due to the member's misconduct, the 58th Special Operations Wing commander directed this member's separation with a General Discharge. Furthermore, as a result of this discharge characterization, all G.I. Bill benefits were forfeited.

66th Training Squadron

Four Airmen of the rank of airman first class were separated for failure to progress in military training required to be qualified for service with the Air Force for performance of primary duties. Due to the member's self-initiated elimination or drop-on-request from training, the 58th SOW commander directed these members' separations with Honorable Discharge without the opportunity for probation and rehabilitation.
