The 92nd Air Refueling Wing chapel hosted 28 families at a retreat Aug. 28 to 30 in Post Falls, Idaho.

The free event was designed for families with children seven years and older and covered "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Families" by Stephen R. Covey.

"Military families are put under a lot of stress with the high tempo of operations, time-consuming exercises and family separations," said Maj. Michael Howard, 92nd ARW chaplain. "Just like pilots brief and make flight plans to get from point A to point B, families need to come together, when they can, to communicate and navigate through hardships. Covey's workbook is a tool to help families set aside time together when things get busy or chaotic."

The chapel organizes events such as the family retreat in support of the Comprehensive Airman Fitness program, which aims to build and sustain a thriving and resilient Air Force community that fosters mental, physical, social and spiritual fitness.
