Fairchild opens new Passenger Terminal Published March 25, 2016 By Airman 1st Class Taylor Bourgeous 92nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- The 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the grand opening of the new Passenger Terminal March 25, at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. The PAX Terminal, which was previously located in the base operations building, is now located in building 2090 at the end of Hansell Ave. The new location is not only more convenient for the Airmen who work there, but also is a single location for all outgoing passengers. "The reason for moving the location of the PAX Terminal is to consolidate and make better use of our resources," said Master Sgt. Daine Burke, 92nd LRS NCO in charge of small air terminal. "The terminal will be used for deployers as well as space-available travelers." The PAX Terminal provides free flights to other bases for military members and their families. In accordance with Air Mobility Command Instructions, flights and available seats are announced 72 hours prior to scheduled departure. The new terminal now includes restrooms inside the gate, family rooms, a children's play area and a private mommy room. "Whether the passengers be active duty passengers, space-a dependents or retirees, the Fairchild Passenger Terminal drives first and lasting impressions by which Team Fairchild is judged," said Maj. Lance Vann, 92nd LRS commander. "As we dedicate this new facility and consolidate operations in building 2090, the 92nd LRS willfully accepts this charge and strives to provide customer service by which all other units are measured."
