Team Fairchild recognized at Best of the West Gala

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. --  The West Plains Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Best of the West Awards Gala April 8 at the Northern Quest Casino in Airway Heights, Washington, to recognize outstanding contributions to the local community, including Fairchild Air Force Base Airmen.

The Team Fairchild members who received the military-oriented awards at the event were:

Junior Enlisted of the Year - Senior Airman Zachariah Daehn, 141st Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels journeyman

Noncommissioned Officer of the Year - Staff Sgt. Jasmine Phillips, 92nd Aerospace Medicine Squadron NCO in charge of infection control

Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year - Master Sgt. Joseph Koch, 92nd Air Refueling Squadron operations superintendent

Company Grade Officer of the Year - Capt. Maira Malhabour, 92nd Medical Support Squadron diagnostic services flight commander
