FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. --
On March 3, the Airman and Family Readiness Center hosted Phases 2 and 3 of the Phoenix Spouse training program.
Phase 2 consisted of Straight Talk: Spouse Suicide Awareness. It was conducted by Tech. Sgt. Carlos Ramossanchez, A&FRC family readiness coordinator.
Air Mobility Command provided material for the suicide awareness training, which is a more robust training session than the one given to active duty members on base.
Phase 3 was Heart Link, which trained Phoenix Spouses on an A&FRC program that is geared toward spouses who are new to the military community. Heart Link is designed to help new military spouses understand the military culture.
A total of 18 spouses attended to include two active duty members from the 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron. The two active duty members will take the role of Phoenix Spouses for their squadron.
