The Air Force Assistance Fund campaign began Monday at Fairchild and will continue through April 20.

During this campaign, active-duty personnel, retirees, civilian employees, sister-service personnel and veterans can make donations to various foundations.

The purpose of the campaign is to raise funds for charities that provide support to Air Force personnel in need. The charities are the Air Force Village Foundation, Inc., Air Force Enlisted Village, Inc., Air Force Aid Society, Inc., and the General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation.

"This is our opportunity to show commitment to these four outstanding organizations. They rely largely on our contribution to support Air Force people with emergency aid, educational needs, secure retirement homes for widows or widowers of Air Force members, and financial assistance," said Capt. Chris Underwood, 92nd Comptroller Squadron and Fairchild's Air Force Assistance Fund coordinator.

"The annual Air Force Assistance Fund campaign is summed up by the statement 'Airmen Supporting Airmen,'" he said.

To assist with the campaign, each squadron has appointed a unit key worker to whom contributions may be made directly in the form of a cash or check. Contributions may also be made as a payroll deduction.

An AFAF video, brochure and contribution form are available at http://afassistancefund.org.

The following is a list of Air Force Assistance Fund representatives at the group level. These representatives will then appoint a key worker within their unit to assist with the campaign. Contact your respective representative for information about donating to the fund.
