The following are brief notifications or updates about education opportunities on or around the base:

Anatomy of Leadership and Influence
This course teaches you to understand your strengths and qualifications, prepare yourself for success and achieve goals through planning and helping others. All military and civilian personnel may attend. The class is scheduled for April 27, 8 a.m. - noon, at the education center, room 103.

Enlisted 101
This course, open to airmen basic through senior airmen and new supervisors of enlisted personnel, teaches you to manage your enlisted career and enhance your potential for success. The class is held April 25, 8 a.m. - noon, at the education center, room 103.

New Adult Learner Teacher class
This course teaches strategies to effectively facilitate adult learning in briefings, training programs and short courses. Development educators and all military and civilian instructors and supervisors are welcome. The class is held April 24, 9 - 10 a.m., at the education center, room 103.

Study skills
This seminar is designed for military, civilians and dependents returning to college after a long absence. The primary focus is to introduce individuals to time management in order to balance the demands of school and working life. Other modules include memory, reading for comprehension and test-taking tips. In this course the student will assess their learning style, make a study calendar and establish goals.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautics Degree
A Bachelor's Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle can provide career-enhancing knowledge and understanding. Up to 36 advanced standing credits in the aviation area of concentration may be awarded for work experience and training. Southern Illinois University
You may be closer to earning a Bachelor's Degree than you think. The off campus degree program located at Fairchild offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Workforce Education and Development. To schedule an interview with an advisor, contact Dr. Frank Powers at 244-3356 or 244-3789

Park University
- Park students must successfully complete the Writing Competency Test and EN306 before registering for MG401, MG495, HR491 and MK491. The Fairchild Campus Center offer the WCT April 17 and 24. All core requirements must be complete in order to enroll in MG495. These prerequisites will not be waived. Students wishing to enroll in other courses for which they do not have the required prerequisites must obtain a prerequisite waiver. Call 244-2020 for information.

- Effective July 1, Park University will no longer accept standardized testing (DANTES/CLEP, etc.) for CS140, Intro to Computers. Students must either transfer this class in or take it with Park. Scores must be received by the Registrar's Office June 1 for acceptance. Call the Fairchild Campus Center at 244-2020 or e-mail fair@park.edu for information.

- Park University's Criminal Justice Administration (CJA) majors: As of July 1, CJ451 as senior writing project will no longer be offered. Students evaluated prior to July 1 who require CJ451 will now enroll in CJ441 if they are currently employed in a criminal justice field or CJ440 if not. CJ441 will not satisfy the EN306 writing requirement.
