DEVELOP YOUR LEADERSHIP SKILLS!
Force Development Education courses are offered free each month at the Base Education Center. FDE provides an opportunity for your personal growth with courses in career management, effective communication, productive relationships, giving effective feedback, understanding leadership growth, and developing cooperative learning in training programs. All military and civilian personnel are invited to sign up and attend. Some courses are limited to certain ranks/grades. The Anatomy of Leadership and Influence course involves understanding your strengths and qualifications, the determination for success, achieving goals through planning and helping others. Scheduled for May 30 from 8 a.m. to noon in room 105 at the Base Education Center. Open to all military and civilian personnel.

Adult Learner Teacher Class involves strategies to effectively facilitate adult learning in briefings, training programs and short courses. Force Development Education instructors and all military and civilian instructors and supervisors are welcome to attend. Scheduled for May 31 from 8 a.m. to noon in room 103 of the Base Education Center.

STUDY SKILLS CLASS
This seminar is designed for military, civilians and dependents returning to college after a long absence. The primary focus of study skills is to introduce individuals to time management. Other modules include memory, reading for comprehension and test taking tips. In this course the student will assess their learning style, make a study calendar and establish goals.
Classes are scheduled July 11, August 8 and September 12. They are held at the Base Education Center in room 103 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with lunch from noon to 1:00 p.m.

PARK UNIVERSITY
On-site and Internet classes for summer will begin June 4th. Registration is in progress for both online and onsite classes. Be sure to register early for Internet classes. Too busy to sit in a classroom? Park's School for Online Programs offers seven Bachelor of Science Degree Completion Programs totally online, over 225 internet courses, and hundreds of sections are offered each term. GetEducated.com recently awarded Park's distance bachelors program the "Best Buy" designation by its independent editorial team. A Best Buy designation indicates that Park's program offers a high quality distance degree to a national audience at tuition and fee rates well below the national average. The national biennial survey reviewed 78 regionally-accredited distance bachelor degrees in business and management. Also, Park was recently ranked #2 in the nation for online degree-granting programs by US News and World Report. Effective July 1, Park University will no longer accept standardized testing (i.e., DANTES/CLEP, etc.) for CS140 (Intro to Computers). Students must either transfer this class in or take it with Park... Scores must be received by the Registrar's Office no later than June 1 in order for it to be accepted as CS140. Please call the Fairchild Campus Center at 244-2020 (or email fair@park.edu) if you have any questions.

MBS Direct is Park's official textbook partner. Textbooks are guaranteed to be available if ordered through MBS. If the student decides to purchase their textbooks via another source, then Park cannot assist them if they should happen to encounter any problems. The student is on their own for resolving any textbook issues if not ordered thru MBS Direct... MBS Direct ships the orders within 24 hours according to the student's instructions (excluding holidays and weekends). Park's virtual bookstore will open 3-4 weeks prior to the start of classes. Students should make arrangements to receive their books prior to the first day of class; however, students enrolling during add/drop period (first week of term) are highly encouraged to request next-day delivery of their texts to prevent a delay in their course.

Community Colleges of Spokane classes on base
Fairchild Spring II 2007 classes will begin May 21. We are offering general education and computer and math Classes. Register early to ensure class availability. To schedule an advising appointment with a counselor or ask questions, please call 533-8937. Web registration will be available by appointment on Feb. 14, 2007 for current students.

Technical Management Degree Program
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University offers associate and bachelor's degree program in Technical Management for working adults with a background in a technical specialty. Receive up to 15 credits towards your degree for prior experience and training including CLEP, DANTES and certain military and industrial programs. The degree program may be completed either in classroom or on-line and is open to military personnel, family members and civilians as well as. Southern Illinois University
A unique feature offered by Southern Illinois University is that we grant up to 44-semester hours for your past work experience and Air Force training. Associate-Bachelor Cooperative Degree Program
Air University new Associate-Bachelor Cooperative Degree Program - The vision of our Air force leaders is to provide distance learning and bachelor's degree opportunities for Airmen. The AU-ABC initiative establishes partnerships between the Air Force and accredited civilian higher education institutions to offer baccalaureate degree opportunities via distance learning. AU-ABC degree programs will be linked to one or more Air Force relevant degree program currently offered by Community College of the Air Force. Proposals are currently being accepted from civilian institutions. The AF Virtual Education Center will serve as the gateway to these post-CCAF degree programs with the goal of beginning implementation for student enrollment in June 2007.
