Bias 92nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- Four spouses from Fairchild received the Eastern Washington Outstanding Military Spouse Award Aug. 25 during the Veterans and Military Resource Fair at Washington State University in Spokane, Wash. Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers recognized the spouses, who were chosen based on their commitment to family and their dedication to the military and the United States. The following Fairchild spouses received the award. Melinda Bray - A 20-year military spouse, Mrs. Bray assists with her unit's morale and welfare activities. She cooks for military families in need or in crisis and assists with relocation services for military personnel. Her husband is Maj. Douglas Bray. Susan Delano - Mrs. Delano is involved in the Wishing Star Foundation, and she helped the foundation raised more than $20,000 to support children with life threatening diseases. Her husband is Master Sgt. R C Delano. David Allen - Mr. Allen is a Phoenix Spouse for the 92nd Medical Group and a board member of Officers' Spouses Club. He donated time, money, and professional skills to raise $14,000 for scholarships and charity projects. His wife is Maj. Jan Allen. Brandi Walmsley - Mrs. Walmsley is the Phoenix Spouse for the 93rd Air Refueling Squadron. She keeps the spouses aware of base happenings as well as squadron functions. Her husband is Maj. Stephen Walmsley.
