Members of Team Fairchild now have a new way to stay hydrated during the intense workouts that keep them fit to fight. The ceremonial ribbon to the Hydration Station juice bar located in the base Fitness Center was cut during the grand opening Sept. 18.

The addition of the juice bar was made possible by many months of hard work in getting the place ready for business, said Col. Roger Watkins, 92nd Air Refueling Wing vice commander. "We've wanted to do this for some time. I know it will be a big hit and a great addition to the fitness center."

Flavors currently available include favorites such as strawberry, wildberry, mango, banana, raspberry, peach, piña colada and more. There is also the option of adding a booster to your morning, afternoon or evening delight, whether it's for fat burn, muscle gain, extra protein or an energy boost.

"I'll be stopping by the fitness center here to make sure things are running smoothly and to introduce the newest flavors," said Dan Hill, an Island Oasis representative.

The Hydration Station gives exercisers ample opportunity to enjoy a blended on-the-spot beverage with their accommodating hours of operation. Those wishing to purchase one of these thirst quenchers will be able to do so Monday through Friday from 6 - 8 a.m., 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

The juice bar manager, Sarah Beck, also a personal trainer at the fitness center, will be behind the bar a majority of the time ensuring Team Fairchild customers get the fruit frenzied drinks they deserve before, during or after their workout.
