  • Published
According to a recent memo from Col. Damon Booth, Air Mobility Command Director of Staff, Gen. Arthur Lichte, AMC commander, has authorized the following Family Days for calendar year 2008:

May 23, Memorial Day (May 26)
Aug. 29, Labor Day (Sept. 1)
Nov. 28, Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 27)
Dec. 26, Christmas Day (Dec. 25)
Jan. 2, New Years Day (Jan. 1, 2009)

Each directorate will maintain an operational capability, as required, to meet mission requirements. As you plan minimum operational manning, you must take into consideration our participation in the global war on terrorism. Liberal leave policy is in effect for all civilian personnel.

Military personnel departing the area must follow Air Force regulations governing leave/passes. Supervisors are reminded that leave must begin and end in the local area and four days is the maximum pass period allowed. Civilian personnel are encouraged to take leave or use accrued compensatory time to the maximum extent possible.

Keep safety a top priority.
