FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. --  The following is a list of upcoming Fairchild events and other pertinent 92nd Air Refueling Wing information. Education briefs are located at the bottom of the page.

Highlighted Events:

Town Hall Meeting on Commander's Access Channel
A 40-minute video of the Jan. 14 Town Hall Meeting will play on the Commander's Access Channel, channel 5, through mid-February to ensure all base personnel have the opportunity to review the discussions on base housing privatization. The video will run at 2 a.m., 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. to allow for viewing by personnel on either day or night shifts.

Feb. 20: Scholarship for Military Children deadline
The deadline for the Scholarships for Military Children is Feb. 20. Applications must be turned into the commissary by close of business. Qualified seniors planning to enroll in a four-year program of studies the following fall, or college students already enrolled in a four-year program are eligible. At least one $1,500 scholarship is awarded at every commissary location with a qualified applicant. Additional information may be found at http://www.militaryscholar.org or www.commissaries.com.

Jan. 18: Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Ceremony
A Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Ceremony will take place Jan. 18 at the base Chapel at 3 p.m. Dress is uniform of the day for military personnel and casual for civilian personnel.

Jan. 18: 92nd MDG Sponsor Night
The 92nd Medical Group Sponsor Night is scheduled for Jan. 18. The theme for the event is "Totally Awesome 80's." There will be various games, a best dressed contest, 80's themed Guitar Hero, raffle and 80's music.

Jan. 23: Blood Drive
The Inland Northwest Blood Center will host a blood drive Jan. 23 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Base Exchange. All donors will receive a special edition military T-shirt as a special thank you for making a difference in the community. Jan. 25: FunSpot Friday Night Frenzy
There will be a FunSpot Friday Night Frenzy Jan. 25 from 4 to 10 p.m. There will be unlimited FunSpot Fun For $5, which includes bowling, skating, miniature golf, pool tables and batting cages. Call 247-2422 for more information.

Education Briefs:

Study skills class
The study skills class is designed for military, civilians and dependents returning to college after a long absence. The class introduces individuals to time management, memory, reading for comprehension and test taking tips. Classes are scheduled for Feb. 6 and March 5 at the base Education Center in Room 113 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Reservations are necessary. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, and non-degree certificate of completion programs. The courses can be completed in a classroom setting or online. Park University
-The Fairchild Campus Center will be offering the Writing Competency Test on Jan. 22 and 29; Feb. 5, 12, 19 and 26; and March 11, 18 and 25. Please call the Fairchild Campus Center at 244-2020 to schedule an appointment.

- Park's Online Learning program has seven Bachelor of Science Degree Completion Programs online and over 250 internet courses offered each term.
