Highlighted Events: Town Hall Meeting on Commander's Access Channel A 40-minute video of the Jan. 14 Town Hall Meeting will play on the Commander's Access Channel, Channel 5, through mid-February to ensure all base personnel have the opportunity to review the discussions on base housing privatization. The video will run at 2 a.m., 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. to allow for viewing by personnel on either day or night shifts. Feb. 20: Scholarship for Military Children deadline The deadline for the Scholarships for Military Children is Feb. 20. Applications must be turned into the commissary by close of business. Qualified seniors planning to enroll in a four-year program of studies the following fall, or college students already enrolled in a four-year program are eligible. Upcoming Events Jan. 25 - Feb. 1: Jan. 25: Funspot Friday Night Frenzy There will be a FunSpot Friday Night Frenzy Jan. 25 from 4 to 10 p.m. There will be unlimited Funspot Fun For $5, which includes bowling, skating, miniature golf, pool tables and batting cages. Call 247-2422 for more information. Jan. 26: Ice Climbing Adventure and Fishing Trip The Outdoor Recreation Connection is hosting an ice climbing adventure Jan. 26. The ORC will provide instruction and equipment for safe travel up a frozen waterfall. The cost is $30 per person. The ORC is also hosting a fishing trip to a nearby lake. The cost is $45 per person. Education Briefs Study skills class The study skills class is designed for military, civilians and dependents returning to college after a long absence. The class introduces individuals to time management, memory, reading for comprehension and test taking tips. Classes are scheduled for Feb. 6 and March 5 at the base Education Center in Room 113 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Reservations are necessary.
