Submit a WINGMAN article Published Jan. 24, 2008 KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- 'Wingman' magazine is requesting operational safety articles for the Spring Edition. These articles can be on whatever subject matter you want to communicate to the Air Force at-large. Article submissions are needed by Feb. 10 to make the Spring Edition deadline. This is a great opportunity to educate the Air Force on these important subjects. Authors may have their name published with the article or it can be published anonymously. Articles can be sent to the "Wingman" managing editor at afsc.semm@kirtland.af.mil Additional article requirements are listed below. Article Requirements: Length: 500-1,000 words Subject: Any topic related to Occupational Health/Industrial Hygiene and Operational Safety and Health Suggestions: · "There I Was" stories of personal experience · Lessons learned · Innovations/new ideas experienced · Deployment/redeployment Admin: Write your article using Microsoft Word. Submit the article in an electronic format (e-mail, CD, or floppy disc). Include your rank or grade, first and last name, organization and duty station, work phone number, e-mail and unit mailing address. Don't include classified, Privacy Act or privileged information. All submitted articles will be reviewed by subject-matter experts and edited before publication, and are subject to changes for accuracy, brevity and clarity. The editorial policy of "Wingman" is to retain the author's style, meaning and intent to the greatest degree possible. Photos: Include official U.S. Air Force or personal photos when available. High-resolution digital photos and graphics are best. Image preference for print use is a jpg of 8 x 10 inches at 300 pixels per inch, with a file size of 3.2 MB. The minimum standard for good reproduction is a jpg of 5 x 7 inches at 300 pixels per inch, with a file size of 1.5 Mb. If you're submitting hard-copy photo prints, send original slides or negatives if possible. As a rule, we cannot publish copyrighted images.
