Fairchild Briefs and Ongoing Notifications Published Feb. 19, 2008 FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- The following is a list of upcoming Fairchild events and other pertinent 92nd Air Refueling Wing information. Ongoing Notifications are located at the bottom of the page. Highlighted Events: March 5: Deadline for Spring Soccer Registration Spring soccer registration will continue until March 5 at the Youth Center for players ages 3-12. The Smart Start fee for ages 3-4 is $45 per child and the fee for ages 5-12 is $40 per child. The program begins April 7. Registration packets, volunteer coach applications and calendars can be found at www.fafbservices.com. Volunteer and assistant coaches are still needed. Call 247-5601 for more information. March 15: Kids Understanding Deployment Operations Kids Understanding Deployment Operations or KUDOS will take place March 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This three-phase event will allow dependent children to focus on the aspects of pre-deployment, deployment and post-deployment operations. Upcoming Events Feb. 20- Feb. 27 Feb. 21: National Prayer Luncheon Fairchild's National Prayer Luncheon is Feb. 21, 11:30 a.m., in the Club Fairchild ballroom. Feb. 21: Texas Hold'Em There will be a Texas Hold'Em tournament at Club Fairchild Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. Cost is $6 for members, $12 for non-members. Call 244-3622 for information. Feb. 22: Operations Group Sponsor Night OG Sponsor Night at Club Fairchild is Feb. 22 at 5 p.m. The family event will include kids' activities, contests, prizes, photos, and hot dogs and chips for $1. Feb. 23: Youth sports registration booth at BX With spring approaching, so are the baseball and softball seasons. It's time to get the boys and girls signed up. Baseball and softball at multiple levels is available. Roger Watkins, 92nd Air Refueling Wing acting commander, will speak along with Paula Gradwell, Thrift Savings Plan liaison specialist and guest speaker from Washington D.C. Ongoing Notifications: Reminder - Approval of All Facility Related Work All personnel are reminded of the requirement to have an approved AF Form 332, BCE Work Request, prior to initiating any interior or exterior facility work, including self-help projects. Failure to have an approved 332 may result in hazardous exposures to employees; violation of environmental, safety or fire protection codes; EPA and/or OSHA fines; and costly delays to your project. Major League Baseball Packages Major league baseball packages from April 12 through Sept. 6 are available to the Seattle Quest Field for $110 per person.
