Air Force Assistance Fund
Fairchild's Air Force Assistance Fund campaign began March 10 and will run through April 8. The base goal is $42,813. 92nd Air Refueling Wing group points of contact are:

Intramural Soccer League
Fairchild's Intramural Soccer League meets March 25, 10:30 a.m., at the Fitness Center. League representatives are looking for players interested in starting the soccer leagues or participating on the Fairchild Varsity Soccer Team. Call 247-3948 for more information.

Upcoming Events March 14 - 21:

March 16: Car Wash closure
The automatic and self-service car washes will be closed March 16 - April 25 for the installation of a new underground oil/water separator. During the closure, the Auto Hobby Center will offer discounted prepaid wash cards for the automatic wash you can use when the wash reopens. There are several vehicle washing facilities in the local area for your use during our short down period. Call the Auto Hobby Center at 7-2310 for details.

March 14: Club Fairchild Karaoke Night
A free Karaoke Night will be held at Club Fairchild is March 14, 5:30 - 9 p.m. Karaoke by Marj. Call 244-3622 for more information.

March 14: St. Patrick's Day Party
There will be a St. Patrick's Day Party March 14 sponsored by the Fairchild 5/6 Club and the Rising 4. All of Team Fairchild is invited to attend, dorm residents especially. Come dressed in green. There will be door prizes, green beer and Karaoke by Marj. Call 244-3622 for more information.

March 14: Boss & Buddy Steak Night at Club Fairchild
There will be a Boss and Buddy Steak Night at Club Fairchild beginning at 5 p.m. The cost for members is $10.95 and $13.95. The buddy will eat for half the price. Call 244-3622 for more information.

March 17: St. Patrick's Day at the Funspot
The Funspot will host a St. Patrick's Day event March 17, noon - 8 p.m. Wear green and get half off your bowling price. Call 247-2422 for more information.

March 21: Italian Buffet
Club Fairchild will have an Italian Buffet March 21 at 5 p.m. Members' cost is $9.95; non-member cost is $12.95. Call 244-3622 for more information.

Study Skills Class
This seminar is designed for those returning to school after a long absence. The primary focus is to introduce students to time-management skills. Other modules include memory, reading for comprehension and test-taking tips. Students will also assess their learning style, establish goals and make a study calendar. Classes are held Wednesdays, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Call 247-2348 to register.

Park University
- Effective July 1, Park will no longer transfer in History classes as Humanities credits. Instead, History credits will be given as Social Science credits. Call 244-2020 for information.

- On-site and Internet classes for Spring II (Term IV) begin March 17. Registration is in progress. For information, contact the Park at the Fairchild Campus Center, 244-2020, or online at www.park.edu/fair.

- Park University offers a 15-credit hour scholarship for non-military spouses and dependents of active-duty personnel. If you have been a Park student for one year or less at the time of application, or will become a student in the 2008 - 2009 school year, with a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.0 or higher, you may be eligible. Application deadline is April 15. For more information call the Park University office at 244-2020.

- Fairchild's Park University Campus Center will offer the Writing Competency Test March 18 and 25. Students should sign up at least two terms prior to taking EN306/CJ441/CJ450. A passing WCT score is a prerequisite to register for EN306/CJ441/CJ450 and a graduation requirement. Call 244-2020 to schedule an appointment to take the WCT.
