Spring Break Official Travel Advisory The spring break season is great for students departing to sunny coastlines and sandy beaches. However, it causes significant travel problems for military members traveling on official business. It is strongly advised that all travel arrangements for March and April be made as far in advance as possible. Any travel arrangements made on short notice (30 days or less) within this time period may result in a much greater cost for travel, thus, a much greater cost to the Air Force or no seating availability at all. The commercial travel office, Travco, can make your travel reservation up to 60 days in advance without orders. Tickets for any reservation cannot be issued without orders. Attention all Fairchild communication systems users The use of government communication systems such as, but not limited to, telephones, fax machines, computers, computer networks (including internet access), cellular phones, PDAs, Blackberrys, and hand held radios constitutes consent to monitoring. Also, please ensure that all government owned and issued telephones, fax machines, PDAs, Blackberrys, cell phones, hand held radios, and standalone computers have an attached DD form 2056. For more information call David Brown at 247-4583.
