R-U-A FAN?

FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. --  You've probably seen this question across the base for several weeks now. You might be wondering what being a FAN is all about. If you didn't attend the big FAN Club Kick Off, you're probably completely in the dark.

Welcome to the newest and greatest initiative to come to Fairchild: the FAN Club. FAN stands for Fairchild Airmen's Network. Being a member of the FAN Club entitles you to phenomenal savings in 92nd Services Squadron activities. Who doesn't appreciate saving money?

Take advantage of Outdoor Recreation. They provide opportunities for exciting adventures. Now FAN Club members can take 10 percent off all Outdoor Adventure trips, classes, aquatic programs, and water sports equipment rentals with a powerboat rental. Sounds tantalizing, doesn't it? Well that's not even the tip of the savings iceberg.

You can also receive 10 percent off just about everything at the Arts and Crafts Center, which was recently named Best in Air Mobility Command for 2008. Wood Crafts is also offering 10 percent off class fees, and Auto Hobby is discounting everything with the exception of resale items by 10 percent.

The Funspot is also taking 10 percent off bowling, mini golf, roller skating, batting cages, billiards and its daily lunch special in the food court. Venture over to the Youth Center and take 10 percent off of all sports registrations for your children, and check out the R-U-A Team Player program, where the more your children play, the more you save.

Are you planning a party? The Youth Center will give you a 10-percent discount on party room rentals. Last but definitely not least, join your friends and colleagues at Club Fairchild, and while you're there you'll receive a 50-cent discount on all alcoholic beverages during social time on Fridays, as well as Member Value Pricing on meals and events.

To become a FAN, simply pick up a membership application at Club Fairchild. Once you fill out the application and return it to the FAN Club staff, you can begin taking advantage of the great benefits of being an Air Force Club Member and member of the FAN Club.
