Family Advocacy offers multitude of resources

Among the many observances in April are Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Child Abuse Prevention Month, Counseling Awareness Month and Alcohol Awareness Month.

In conjunction with these observances, the Family Advocacy office here reminds Team Fairchild there are resources available to assist those in need, from anger management to the pregnancy classes. Available resources are listed below:

- Anger Management for Women, Mondays, 9-10 a.m. by appointment, six weeks, Family Advocacy Clinic
- Anger Management for Men, Wednesdays, 9-10 a.m. by appointment, six weeks, Family Advocacy Clinic
- Couples Communication, first Thursday of the month, 1-2:30 p.m., four weeks, Family Advocacy Clinic
- Boystown Common Sense Parenting, Mondays, 1-2:30 p.m., six weeks, Family Advocacy Clinic
- Divorce Support Group, Thursdays, noon-1 p.m. by appointment, Family Advocacy Clinic
- Water Babies Prenatal and Post Partum Aerobics, Tuesdays, 11 a.m. - noon, Aquatic Center, cost is $1
- Breast Feeding Class, by appointment
- Obstetrics Orientation, first and third Thursday of the month, 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively, Health and Wellness Center
- New Play Group for ages four and under, third Tuesday of the month, 9:30 a.m., Deel Community Center
- Third Trimester Obstetrics Class, third Thursday of the month, 9-10:50 a.m., HAWC
- FASES Education Class, fourth Tuesday of the month, 12:30-4:30 p.m., Family Advocacy Clinic
- Stress Management for All, third Tuesday of the month, 1-2:3- p.m., HAWC
- Power and Control Group for Women, Tuesdays, 3-4:3- p.m., Family Advocacy Clinic
- Power and Control Group for Men, Wednesdays, 3-4:30 p.m., Family Advocacy Clinic
- Women Support Group, by appointment
- Victim Support Group, by appointment
- Blended Family Parenting Class, Mondays, 10-11 a.m. by appointment, Family Advocacy Clinic, five to six weeks
- Boot Camp for New Dads, second Tuesday of the month, 8:30-11:30 a.m., Chapel
- Stress Class, Tuesdays, 8:30-11 a.m., First Term Airman Center
- Teen Anger Management and Parenting Teens, Mondays, 4-5 p.m., Family Advocacy Clinic, eight weeks for teens/six weeks for parents
- Management of Sick Child, home visits
- Never Shake a Baby, home visits
