National Bike to Work Week Published May 8, 2008 By William Worrall 92nd Civil Engineering Squadron FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- National Bike to Work Week is May 12 - 16. Whether it is for health, fun, concern for the environment, the rising price of gas or any of a thousand other reasons, many people have considered riding their bicycle to work. Bike to Work Week provides incentive and motivation to try it out alongside other people. Members of Team Fairchild are encouraged to bicycle to work with groups of friends and co-workers. Fairchild is celebrating the week by holding a prize raffle. Participants are eligible to win several prizes, including a CamelBak Mule 100 ounce hydration pack valued at $85, a portable tire pump and a bicycle multi tool. To enter, simply ride a bicycle to work during the week. You will receive one entry in the drawing for every day you ride a bicycle to work. Please contact 2nd Lt. Stuart Jessup or Capt. Luke Sturgeon to sign up for Fairchild's prize drawing. Entries must be received by May 16. The City of Spokane will also hold a number of events and prize raffles for Bike to Work Week.
