Staff Sgt. Holly Williamson of Spokane, Wash., has risen to the top in three levels of military competition. Sergeant Williamson is assigned to the 141st Services Flight, Washington Air National Guard. She was selected as the Outstanding Enlisted Member of the 141st Air Refueling Wing.

During the unit award ceremony Col. Greg Bulkley, 141st Air Refueling Wing commander, announced that the National Guard Bureau released notification that Sergeant Williamson was selected as Outstanding Services non-commissioned officer of the Year for all ANG units. Moreover, Lt. Gen. Craig McKinley, ANG director, forwarded Sergeant Williamsons' name for Air Force-wide competition.

The Air Force announced last week that Sergeant Williamson was selected as the Air Force services award winner, Reserve Component NCO of the Year. The selection was based on her demonstrated leadership, management and customer focus skills which resulted in the best operational accomplishments.

Sergeant Williamson works cross functionally in food service, morale and welfare coordination, fitness instruction and administration. She deploys regularly, most recently to a Joint Task Force operation in Nicaragua during the winter and spring of 2007, where she earned an Air Force Achievement Medal.

One of the factors in her earning the achievement medal was the great amount of off-duty time she spent visiting and playing with the children at an orphanage in Santa Teresa. Additionally, Sergeant Williamson recently earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Phoenix.
