FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. --  The following is a list of upcoming Fairchild events and other pertinent 92nd Air Refueling Wing information.

Highlighted Events:

Flight Chief needed for ALS
Airman Leadership School is accepting flight chief applications. The flight chief is responsible for all aspects of operations; implementing policies, programs and procedures; and providing leadership, guidance and direction to the faculty support staff and students. The flight chief also supervises and/or evaluates a faculty of five, and is responsible for the training of faculty. He or she interfaces with Air Force and civic organizations to enhance support for enlisted professional military education, recruits and selects faculty; manages all resource programs: manpower, money, equipment and facilities; and plans, manages, and hosts graduation ceremonies.

Wanted: Photos of deployed Fairchild Airmen
The 92nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs office is collecting photos of deployed Airmen for use in a slideshow at an upcoming Commander's Call. If you have photos of your deployed colleagues in action, copy them to this folder: \\gjlkamcw3san1\Fairchild_AFB\Fairchild_All\Fairchild_Photos, and you may see your photo at the next Commander's Call. Upcoming Events:

July 12: Military Appreciation Night
The Spokane RiverHawks baseball team is hosting Military Appreciation Night July 12. All fans with Military ID (and their families) will receive a discounted $2 admission to the game. Non-military fans are invited to wear camouflage gear to the game to receive $2 admission as well, in the RiverHawks' salute to the Armed Forces. Free American Flag window clings will be given to the first 100 fans through the gate. The game is at 6:30 p.m. July 12 at Avista Stadium.

July 18: MatchUP Base Picnic
The MatchUP Base Picnic starts at noon July 18 at Miller Park. Free lunch, DJ, activities and the chance to win prizes with MatchUP will be available to the Fairchild community. This is considered an alternative duty location. The Warrior Inn and Club will be closed for lunch due to the picnic.

Miller Park Gazebo reservations
Interested in barbequing at Miller Park? Make a reservation with Outdoor Recreation for a Gazebo May 1 - October 31. Gazebo use is free. For more information call 247-2511.

Brazilian Jujitsu every first and third Tuesday
Brazilian Jujitsu lessons are available at the Survival Fitness Center every first and third Tuesday of the month from 4:30 - 6 p.m. Classes are $20 monthly and are available to members and dependents of Fairchild age 16 and older. Headquarters Road and parking lot closure
Headquarters Road and the parking lot behind the Wing Headquarters building are closed for construction. Parking is available at the old parade grounds on Bong Street. Access to the Headquarters Bldg. during construction will be the front and side doors. Upon completion of the project in late July, Headquarters Road will no longer connect to Mitchell Drive; it will only be used to access the new parking lot behind Wing HQ from SAC Blvd. Contact Mike Harper, 247-3108, if you have any questions.

Public Health walk-in hours for pre-deployers
In an effort to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the pre-deployment medical process, Public Health has established walk-in hours for medical processing of pre-deployers every Monday through Thursday from 7:30 - 11 a.m. Customers will continue to be seen outside of these hours Monday through Friday by appointment only. Appointments can be made in person or by calling 247-8486.

Thrift Shop accepting consignments and donations
The Thrift Shop is currently accepting consignments and donations for spring and summer clothing. Thrift Shop hours are: Mondays, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.; Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. and the first Saturday of the month, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Call the Thrift Shop, 247-5913, for more information.
