He volunteered for and graduated from the very physically and mentally demanding 17-day survival school. Certainly he could have avoided attending this school, but he demanded that he attend the school so that he could better understand what the students he is responsible for endure. Sergeant Martinez also sets a good example for the younger Airmen by actively pursuing his Masters Degree in Management and Leadership. He's very involved with the community through his volunteering in events such as the Lilac Parade, Habitat for Humanity and the 336th Training Group Top Four Association.
