FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. --  The following is a list of upcoming Fairchild events and other pertinent 92nd Air Refueling Wing information.

Upcoming Events:

Sept. 13: Operation Home Front event at Miller Park
The Airman & Family Readiness Center will be sponsoring its quarterly Operation Home Front event at noon Sept. 13 at Miller Park. There will be a free barbecue and matinee movie for spouses and families of deployed service members. The event allows spouses and families of deployed members the chance to meet new friends, exchange ideas for future events, get valuable information on the challenges of deployments and have a great time. The barbeque will run between noon - 2 p.m.; the movie starts at 2 p.m.

Sept. 16: Jazzercise open house
Julie Butler, a Cheney-area Jazzercise instructor is offering a base-wide Jazzercise open house at the Deel Community Center Sept. 16 at 5:30 p.m. The open house festivities include information on the Jazzercise program, a free workout, refreshments and door prizes. Sept. 18: Legal Office closed
The Legal Office will be closed for legal assistance due to mission requirements Sept. 18. If a legal emergency arises (e.g. a short-notice deployment) call 247-2838 to schedule an appointment.

Sept. 18 - 20: Fall case lot sale
The Fairchild Commissary will be holding a Fall Case Lot Sale from 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. Sept. 18 - 19. Times will be from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sept. 20. Take advantage of savings up to 60 percent on bulk-sized products.

Sept. 19 - 21: Horse and Mule International
The North Idaho Draft Horse and Mule International will be presenting its 32nd season Sept. 19 -21. There will be three days of shows, great food and shopping at the Bonner County Fairgrounds in Sandpoint, Idaho. There are two shows on Friday and Saturday and one show on Sunday. Sept. 25: Senior Non-Commissioned Officer's Induction Ceremony
Reserve your tickets for the Senior Non-commisioned Officer's Induction Ceremony by Sept. 15. The meal cost is $22 for members and $25 for nonmembers and includes your choice of entrée, the broiled northwest salmon or roman chicken buffet. Sept. 26: FunSpot play area grand opening
The FunSpot is having a grand opening Sept. 26 from 4 - 10 p.m. for two indoor play areas. One play area is for children ages 0-3 and the second for ages 4-12. The indoor play areas are free to all children. Contact the FunSpot at 247-2422 for details.

Sept. 26: First Sergeant's Council golf tournament
The First Sergeant Council is hosting the 15th annual golf tournament 8 a.m. Sept. 26 at the Fairways Golf Course. The price of the event is $40 and lunch is included. Call your first sergeant to sign up for the tournament.

92nd LRS mobility/weapons name change
The 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron mobility/weapons has changed its name to Personal Protective Equipment. If you require personal protective equipment bags or weapons stop by Monday - Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. or Thursday from 8 a.m. - noon. For short-notice deployment requirements unit deployment managers can call 247-4930 or 247-2154 for appointments between noon - 4 p.m. Thursdays.

Webcams for deployed spouses
The Airman & Family Readiness Center now has operational Web cameras in the Discovery Center. Family members can talk directly to loved ones in some deployed locations. Stop by from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. during the week or call the A&FRC at 247-2246 to schedule an appointment during after-hours use. They also have web cameras to check out for home use. Readiness and deployment information is available for your family needs.

Yoga class at the Family Oasis
There will be a free yoga class at the Family Oasis every Wednesday at 7 p.m. All skill levels are welcome to attend. For more information call the Deel Community Center at 247-2619.

FAN Club membership drive
The 92nd Services FAN Club is seeking new members. Sign up through Oct. 15 and pay no dues for the first six months. One-thousand dollars will be given to the squadron with the greatest number of sign-ups; squadrons with the highest percentage of members participating in the FAN Club will also win $1,000; plus, new members will be entered into a $1,000 drawing and will receive a $100 scratch ticket. Paintball at the Sports Range
The Sports Range is open for paintball Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The supreme package deal includes helmet, mask, gun, all-day air and all-day play plus 500 paint balls for just $30. For more information call 247-5973.

Fairchild Golf Driving Range open

Miller Park Gazebo reservations
Interested in barbequing at Miller Park? Make a reservation with Outdoor Recreation for a Gazebo through October. Gazebo use is free. For more information call 247-2511.

Flight Chief needed for ALS
Airman Leadership School is accepting flight chief applications. The flight chief is responsible for all aspects of operations; implementing policies, programs and procedures; and providing leadership, guidance and direction to the faculty support staff and students. The flight chief also supervises and/or evaluates a faculty of five and is responsible for training the faculty. He or she interfaces with Air Force and civic organizations to enhance support for enlisted professional military education, recruits and selects faculty; manages all resource programs including, manpower, money, equipment and facilities; and plans, manages, and hosts graduation ceremonies. Fairchild swim teams
Be a part of one of the two Fairchild swim teams. Practices are held at the indoor pool; all levels of experience are welcome and swim all year. The Aqua Aviators Novice Swim Team meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4 - 5 p.m. Participants are 18 years and under. Cost per month is $25. The free Masters Swim Team meets Monday and Wednesday from 5 - 6:30 p.m. Participants are over the age of 18. Monthly swim meets are held if you are interested in participating. Brazilian Jujitsu every first and third Tuesday
Brazilian Jujitsu lessons are available at the Survival Fitness Center every first and third Tuesday of the month from 4:30 - 6 p.m. Classes are $20 monthly and are available to members and dependents of Fairchild age 16 and older. Public Health walk-in hours for pre-deployers
In an effort to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the pre-deployment medical process, Public Health has established walk-in hours for medical processing of pre-deployers every Monday through Thursday from 7:30 - 11 a.m. Customers will continue to be seen outside of these hours Monday through Friday by appointment only. Appointments can be made in person or by calling 247-8486.

Thrift Shop accepting consignments and donations
The Thrift Shop is currently accepting consignments and donations for spring and summer clothing. Thrift Shop hours are: Mondays, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.; Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.; and the first Saturday of the month, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Call the Thrift Shop at 247-5913 for more information.

Attention all Fairchild communication systems users

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
Registration for the Fall semester has started. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University offers Bachelor and Master's Degree programs and an AMT Type 65 certificate for those seeking an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license. Courses may be completed either in class or worldwide through distance learning.

Park University
The online learning environment at Park allows students to go to class when and where their schedules permit. Commuting time disappears, childcare issues dissipate, and travel conflicts no longer matter cause a hassle. Leadership Skills Class
Develop your leadership skills through Force Development Education courses offered free of charge every month at the Base Education Center. FDE offers an opportunity for your personal growth with courses in career management, effective communication, productive relationships, giving effective feedback, understanding leadership growth and developing cooperative learning in training programs in the workplace. The class is open to all military and civilian personnel; however, some courses are limited to certain ranks. Community Colleges of Spokane
Spokane Falls Community College ITV classes start Sept. 22. Register early to ensure class availability. Credit classes are offered by the Institute for Extended Learning and are accredited through and follow the curriculum adopted by and standards established by SFCC.
