Mobile debriefs key to maintaining vigilant ops
FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. – Staff Sgt. Rodney Berubee, 92nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron mobile debriefer, sits with recently deployed Capt. Ben Bates, 92nd Air Refueling Squadron pilot, to discuss critical flight details upon landing here Jan. 7. Details from the flight are used to gather specific information regarding flight anomalies, allowing flightline maintenance crews to focus on pressing maintenance operations more efficiently and shortening the initial gap in maintenance commencement from 90 minutes to about 20 minutes. “Mobile Debrief enables ground crews to perform maintenance immediately upon aircraft landing,” said Sergeant Berubee. “[It’s] critical for ‘turning’ aircraft to fly another sortie.” (U.S. Air Force photo / Senior Airman Joshua K.
