Feb 6, 2001: The 92nd Air Refueling Wing received its first KC-135 with the Multi-Point Refueling System. MPRS included refueling pods on each wingtip that, along with the boom, allowed refueling of any type aircraft on any mission. Feb 8, 1944: The 92d Bombardment Group lost 3 B-17s and 30 crewmembers during a bombing mission over Frankfurt, Germany. Feb 10, 2009: The wing held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the FunSpot to celebrate the official opening of a new indoor skate park. Feb 6, 1959: The Air Force successfully launched the first Titan I intercontinental ballistic missile. Feb 6, 1967: North American Aerospace Defense Command's Space Defense Center moved into Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado, completing the movement of all units into the hardened, underground command and control facility. Feb 8, 1953: The American Medical Association recognized aviation medicine as a medical specialty, the first one to evolve from military practice and research. Feb 10, 1994: Lt Jeannie Flynn completed training in an F-15E Eagle to become the first woman fighter pilot in the Air Force.
