Duty title: Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Journeyman

What do you do on a daily basis at Fairchild AFB? Provide climate control measures for vital mission essential electronic equipment during hot and cold months of the year.

What do you enjoy on your job? As an HVAC technician I have the ability to touch all different types of mechanical systems and devices that affect the Fairchild mission of Global Reach, Global Power thru heating and air conditioning civil engineer infrastructure operations. From the guard shack centurions that protect our base hot or cold, to the vital hydraulic systems that operate the flight simulator from overheating.

Why did you choose to serve in the military? My family is 1st generation Ukrainian immigrants and I want to show my true gratitude to this great nation.

Goals you want to achieve or meet while at the Fairchild AFB: Obtain US Citizenship and my Community College of the Air Force Associates Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Technology.

What is your favorite quote? "Pain is weakness leaving the body"

Who is your favorite mentor and what did you learn from him/her? Military Training Instructor--taught me to believe in myself and take responsibility for my actions/choices.

If you could spend one hour with any person, who would it be and why? David Demchuk; Brother. He's someone I look up to.
