Duty title: NCO in charge of instrument and flight control systems

What do you do on a daily basis at Fairchild AFB? I manage the training, scheduling and personnel tasking of my shop. Sometimes it goes easy but other times I feel like I'm putting out fires before they get too big. I also get to help people and point them in the right direction. I learn a lot during all of these processes. I have a great group of people that work with me.

What do you enjoy about your job? I like helping and mentoring people. There were a lot of things that I had to learn the hard way and I try to pass on these things so my troops don't have to. I have many stories that have either happened to me or things I have witnessed.

Why did you choose to serve in the military? To see the world and experience something more than a small town had to offer.

What is your greatest accomplishment? I got lucky enough to spend close to the first 10 years of my career overseas in either Japan or Germany.

What goals you want to achieve or meet while at Fairchild Air Force Base? I want to continue my education and finish out a bachelors degree.

What is your favorite quote? I actually have 2. "It's better to regret something you have done than to regret something you haven't done." and "Act or be acted upon."

Who is your favorite mentor and what did you learn from him/her? I know it's pretty generic but my dad. Everything I am today comes directly from his influence.

If you could spend one hour with any person, who would it be and why? My maternal grandfather, he died a couple years ago from cancer and I figure that if it were possible it would be nice to spend another hour with him.
